Florida CEOs Express Increased Optimism

The latest quarterly business sentiment index from the Florida Council of 100 reflects increased optimism on the part of the state’s business leaders. Its CEO Economic Outlook Index increased 8 points in the third quarter to 91. As a point of comparison, the comparable national figure from the Business Roundtable was 76. Of the survey respondents, 46% expected their firm’s payrolls to increase over the next six months, 49% anticipated higher capital investment, and 64% projected higher sales.
